“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you

always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Partner with Jesus as he builds His Church.

1) Recognize Jesus’ headship over the church. (Colossians 1:18)

2) Believe it is Jesus who builds His church. (Matthew 16:18)

3) Be careful to work for Jesus as His “fellow-worker” with a constantnawareness of accountability to Him. (1 Cor. 3:9-17, Rev. 2-3)

 

 

Follow the God given model for effective ministry shown to us in the early church (Acts 2:37-47).

1) Emphasize Evangelism (Salvation & Baptism v.37-41, 47).

2) Call for devoted commitment (v.42).

3) Emphasize the need for correct doctrinal preaching & teaching (v.42).

4) Communicate the need for the Fellowship (v.42).

5) Practice Communion (v.42).

6) Be steadfast in prayer (v.42).

7) Encourage vibrant worship (v.43 & 47).

8) Equip for the exercise of Spiritual Gifts (v.43-45).

9) Foster deep and authentic unity & fellowship (v.46).
